Publishers Weekly reports that Interweave is expanding it's craft book offerings to include more jewelery titles. Linda Stark, the publisher, had the following to say on the rapid influx of knit titles.
"Stark said the market for crafts in general remains healthy, but added, “You don’t have the frenzy you did last year,” with lots of new people taking up a hobby. The market for books on knitting, she observed, is becoming glutted; she counted 72 books on the subject this fall, compared to only about 20 last year—making it all the more important for Interweave to diversify its list."
