Would you believe we forgot our anniversary? What can I say, it's been an eventful summer.

Note: We were married on The Skansonia Ferry, an old ferry that is permanently moored on Lake Union. We received word of Princess Di's accident at our rehearsal dinner the night before (my dad was a newsguy at the time). She died on my wedding day. So, we usually have no problem remembering our anniversary when the media begins its memorial of the day.
