The Chicks With Sticks Book Giveaway

I've been wanting to give away some books but I wasn't sure how I wanted to do it. My friend, neighbor, and blogger Sam, over at Knit Quest, posted 10 Things About Me, but only 9 were true. Sounds good to me.

The prize is The Chicks with Sticks Guide to Crochet: Learn to Crochet with More Than 30 Cool, Easy Patterns

I'm going to list 10 things about me you may or may not know, but only 9 of them are true. Guess which one isn't true and leave it in the comments. I'll do a random drawing of those who guess correctly. If no one is correct I'll do a random drawing of everyone in the comments. Good luck! You have until next Friday.

1. I have been hit by a car, as a pedestrian, three times.
2. I have a fear of heights.
3. I can bend my tongue into a circle.
4. I cried after hiking 10 miles on the first day of my Outward Bound adventure.
5. I saw The Motels at the Whiskey when I was 11.
6. I got married on the day Princess Di died.
7. I loved the movie The English Patient so much I bought 2 copies of the DVD.
8. I got drunk on my first date with my husband and I threw up on a girl in the bathroom.
9. I burned my bum backing up to a wall heater when I was 5 and had to go the ER.
10. I can raise my left eyebrow more (meaning higher) than my right.

There is no way you can raise your left eyebrow higher than your right. The rest seem plausable. (I hope I win!)

I'm going to guess that you do NOT have 2 copies of the English Patient. (I found that movie terribly depresssing!)

For some reason the only one that sticks out to me is the "fear of heights". The rest are all slightly wacky, and the fear of heights seems so normal in comparison. That's what I'm guessing. :P

I have no idea, so I'm going to take a guess and hope no one else had any idea either. I'm guessing number 3 is not true.

I'm going to guess the fear of heights. It's seems kinda random to me. But if you really are, that's a bummer. My mom has a fear of heights and she even has a terrible time on escalators! Anyway, great giveaway! Thanks for offering!

I'm guessing number 8, getting drunk and throwing up on someone... Good luck everyone! lol

I think (at least I hope) item number 1 is false. How can someone get hit by a car tree times as a pedestrian ? Really bad luck? Dangerous hometown ? Well, at least I hope for you it is not true.

I'm calling bulljazz on The English Patient.

I'm tied between 1 and 7... I'm gonna guess it's 1. But if it's seven I'll feel so bummed lol.

"I can raise my left eyebrow more (meaning higher) than my right."
Me too. How wierd.

But I'm gonna guess: #1. I have been hit by a car, as a pedestrian, three times.
I hope that didn't happen. hehe that would really suck. Not that throwing up on someone or being burned by a heater wouldn't suck! hehe!

My guess is #7. I love your list!

number 3?

I'm guessing #7 is false as well. I'm terrible at coming up with wacky facts about myself for games like this. My lie is always terribly transparent.

I am delurking to say that you have a terribly interesting list. I'm going to guess #5 is the false one.
Since I know from personal experience that #8 can happen, minus the other girl part. :)

I'm gonna guess no extra copy of English Patient.

Anyone who has that wild a night the first time they go out with their future husband, doesn't strike me as an English Patient fanatic.

Of course, I could be wrong...

I'll guess #6 is false.

#3.
I was thinking #7, but at the time, we all thought it was a really good movie, so it's possible you bought two copies. I accidentally bought two copies of The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada. If you haven't seen it, let me know and I'll pass it along. Really good movie.
What are words for?

I despised the English Patient; it was boring and depressing. If you have 2 copies of it, I may have to stop reading your blog.

I thought number 1 at first, then - maybe 6 and I am guessing maybe 7...
hmmm...

LET`S STAY WITH NUMBER 1, I hope it never happened to you...

I'm hoping #1 is not true as that would really rot if it were!

OK... I'm thinking that #8 is NOT true. You are such a lovely lady. I could NEVER see you doing such a thing!

Hmmm - I'll say the fear of heights is not true. They are all so intriguing though!
